Bone injuries, especially if they are larger, threaten human health. The main goal of this invention is to make a scaffold that can repair bone injuries. A 3D printer was used to make the scaffold because this method allows precise control of the pore size. The scaffold material was hydroxyapatite and alginate; Hydroxyapatite is a building block of natural bone, and alginate is a biocompatible polymer added to apatite to make a printable ink. In order to improve angiogenesis and bactericidal of the scaffold, copper was introduced into the structure of hydroxyapatite and to increase the ossification potential of the scaffold, we immersed it in a 20 mM arginine solution.
